Hello, I’m George M. Fragiadakis, a Post-Doctoral Researcher at the Department of Informatics and Telematics, Harokopio University of Athens.

My research focuses on the design, evaluation, and sustainability of intelligent computing systems, with particular emphasis on Human-AI Collaboration (HAIC), AI system evaluation, and cloud computing infrastructures. I currently work on the development of benchmarking frameworks and experimental platforms for evaluating Human-AI collaboration, aiming to provide rigorous methodologies for assessing how humans and AI systems interact in real-world decision-making environments. My work combines elements from machine learning, distributed systems, cloud computing, and techno-economic analysis to study the performance, efficiency, trust, and sustainability of AI-enabled systems.

My PhD research explored the techno-economic analysis of cloud services, focusing on the application of machine learning methods to predict cloud pricing and support decision-making in multi-cloud environments. This work bridges technical system design with economic evaluation, contributing to the broader research area of FinOps and sustainable cloud computing.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s degree in Informatics and Telematics from Harokopio University, where I specialized in the development and operation of next-generation networked systems. During my studies, I also spent time at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, through the Erasmus programme.

Alongside my academic work, I have several years of professional experience in the technology sector, including work as a DevOps Engineer, where I focused on cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and scalable system deployment using Kubernetes and Docker. This practical experience informs my research on cloud architectures, system evaluation, and large-scale computing platforms.

In addition to research, I am actively involved in teaching and mentoring, contributing to courses related to Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Machine Learning, and Human-Computer Interaction. My goal is to help students develop both conceptual understanding and practical skills in modern computing systems.
